Resumen
Knowledge Management (KM) is a tool that allows the creation, use, distribution and transfer of knowledge in organizations. In a previous study, a KM framework was presented. This framework was designed using enterprise architecture (EA) and business intelligence for the implementation of KM projects in organizations. EA is used in this framework to digitize, relate and visualize the following dimensions of knowledge: organizational structure, business processes, applications and technology. The objective of this paper is to assess the role of EA as a key component in the proposed KM framework. For this, it is important to determine the existing IT tools in the market. Furthermore, in this work an approach for the evaluation and the selection of EA tools is proposed. The methodology used for the investigation was qualitative and exploratory by means of a case study performed in an international logistic service provider.
