Resumen
In this study, a group of 285 Apps in Spanish, directed to people with intellectual disability, including autism, down syndrome and cerebral palsy, running on various platforms was selected and evaluated. The researchers used PRISMA and MARS models, and the Principal Components Analysis to identify the most relevant quality underlying factors. Software testers and a specialized group of teachers of disabled people formed the evaluator team. The overall results show Aesthetics and Functionality are the more suitable categories to improve Apps quality. Engagement and Information categories have some contradictories characteristics that require balance and commitment. So, this research contributes to the expansion of the existing body of knowledge concerning the Apps quality improvement to assist the quality of life of the people with disabilities.
