Resumen
The influence of information technologies on Human Resource Management (HRM) policies and practices are discussed in this chapter as well as the positive role of the intranet in this area. All key HRM functions and processes can be carried using the intranet. The Campus Virtual at University of Alicant and its HRM functions are presented. e-HRM, as a part of the Campus Virtual, offers many functions to employees and its supervisors. e-HRM has several advantages like dynamicity, adaptation and low costs, saving time and providing useful information for better decision making and HR control.
